Dr Lachlan Mead studied both Medical Science and Medicine at Sydney University, graduating in 2009. He spent a year of medical school at the School of Rural Health in Dubbo during this time. He did his internship and residency at Concord Hospital in Sydney including terms at both Canterbury Hospital and Broken Hill. He has also worked in ED at Tamworth and Dubbo Base Hospitals. Dr Mead moved to Newcastle in 2012, joining the RACGP training program as a registrar at Raymond Terrace Family Practice. He has since finished his fellowship and continues to enjoy working in the community here.

Dr Mead enjoys all aspects of general practice, particularly paediatrics, men's health and management of chronic medical conditions such as diabetes and heart disease. He is also interested in skin cancer checks and removals.

Dr Mead lives in Newcastle with his wife, two children and dog Frankie. He enjoys rugby, fishing and gardening.
