Dr Elizabeth Kaiko
Dr Elizabeth Kaiko grew up in Newcastle and graduated from The University of Newcastle in 1984. She spent 4 years working in the Canberra hospitals before returning to Newcastle to complete her general practice training with the Family Medicine Programme including 11 months in community geriatrics.
She joined Raymond Terrace Family Practice in 1990. Dr Kaiko works part-time.
Her interests are in chronic disease and preventative (physical and mental) health.
Her personal interests include meditation and incorporating spirituality in daily life. For 19 years she has made the annual trip to the Brahma Kumaris Academy for a Better World in India to attend internation retreats for spiritual study and meditation. She has been a lacto-vegetarian since 1996 and seeks to live in an environmentally responsible way.
